The first time I saw Rufftone, he was being overwhelmed by the hugs of the street children in the Riruta slum. They were climbing all over him as if he were a Baobab. He is awesome to them because he too grew up in the street. And today that he has become Kenya's most famous rapper, he continues to speak up in defense of those who are weakest. We became friends and he invited us to his studio-house. Together with Long Som and other friends, he improvised some pieces and a moving prayer for Africa.
